A meatless steak made by a 3D printer - 20 Minutes

A "steak" made by a 3D printer. It is the invention of the Spanish start-up "Novameat". According to Giuseppe Scionti, its founder, the vegetable pancake, composed of peas, rice proteins, rapeseed fat and seaweed fibers, would have the same texture and the same appearance as animal meat.

This 2.0 steak was created with the aim of finding alternatives to animal meat. Worldwide, livestock farming is responsible for 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions.

The start-up's next objective: to create vegetable “pork” and “salmon”, always using a 3D printer.
