Two police officers in their 50s confirmed infection in Saitama New coronavirus March 5 20:32
According to Saitama, two people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
One of them is a 50-year-old male police officer of the Saitama Prefectural Police who works at the Gunnan Police Station in Kawaguchi City, and the other is a 60-year-old employee of the Saitama Agricultural Technology Research Center in Kumagaya City.
According to the prefecture, it is the first time in Japan that an active police officer has confirmed an infection.
