Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt, denied what was reported about the fall of the Pyramid of Djoser, explaining that the method of building the pyramid, which consists of successive sized terraces, protects it from falls and collapse. He also confirmed that the opening of the pyramid, which is located in Saqqara, in southern Jira, will take place next Thursday in the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

In a phone call to the "this morning" program, which is broadcast on the "extra news" satellite channel, on Tuesday morning, he pointed out that the restoration work of the pyramid started in 2004 and stopped in the events of 2011, then resumed again in 2017, noting that it is the oldest building Stone in the world.

He explained that the restoration work included the renovation of paths for people with special needs, and the restoration of the southern entrance, and added: "For the first time the tourist can visit the pyramid from the inside, and also the sarcophagus of King Djoser will be displayed."
