After 12 scientific expeditions across the seas of the Globe, from the Arctic to the Atlantic via the Mediterranean, the sailboat Tara has been docked in the heart of Paris, since this Saturday, February 29, 2020, in order to invite the public to s '' ask about its relationship to the ocean and its marine biodiversity.

Publicity

The opportunity for us to return to the fascinating history of this legendary polar schooner, dreamed by a line of traveling sailors, and in 15 years become a floating international laboratory dedicated to scientific research and the defense of the environment.

Sharing is at the heart of the Tara project, and that's what we immediately perceive when we have the chance to go on board. This is what we did, during the last collections of the “Microplastics 2019” Mission, recently carried out by Tara and her teams on 9 European rivers at the origins of plastic pollution.

Embark with us, between Bordeaux and La Rochelle, to discover a crew and their schooner at the bedside of the planet.
