To celebrate the national month of reading in the Emirates, which falls in March of each year, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi organizes a set of activities and events, in cooperation with many government and private institutions in the country, with the aim of establishing reading as an integral part of the human personality and lifestyle.

Kalima Club for Reading organizes five concerts signing books for each of the writer Fahad Al-Maamari, who writes his book "The Sea in Emirati Heritage" in "Sahara Mall" in Sharjah the day after tomorrow, and writer Sarah Al Shamsi will sign her book, "Saafah Saif" in "Bawadi Mall" in Al Ain On the 18th of this month, as for writer Lulwa Al-Mansoori, she will sign her book “Enlightenment of Water” on the 26th of this year at the Cultural Center in Ras Al Khaimah. The “Dubai Mall” will witness my signing ceremony on March 20 of the book “Empowering Women in the UAE” by writer Azza Hashem, and “The Sea in Emirati Memory »by novelist Ali Abu Al-Reesh.

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi also organizes, during the month of reading, 23 exhibitions that sell books at low prices, in cooperation with a number of governmental and private institutions in the country, including: Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Action, Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, Ministry of Health, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Finance Department, Council Abu Dhabi Quality, Family Development Foundation, Abu Dhabi Waste Center, Burjeel Hospital, in addition to the Dubai Mall, Al Mushrif Mall, Deer Fields Mall, East Gate Mall, Al Seef Mall in Abu Dhabi, Wadi Mall in Al Ain, and a number of branches of the libraries supervised by the department, which are: Park Khalifa, Zayed Central Library in Al Ain, Al Wathba Library In addition to its cooperation with the Sharjah Book Authority, Wadi Al Helu Women Club, Sahara Mall in Sharjah, City Center Fujairah and cultural centers in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.

On the level of seminars and workshops, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi is organizing a dialogue session entitled “The Popular Poem and its Role in Lyrical Art” on the 24th of this year, in Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi. In terms of technological development in the field of publishing, the department organizes a "e-book training workshop" on January 29 in Manarat Al Saadiyat, with the aim of keeping pace with developments in the book industry, and developing the capabilities and skills of workers in the field of electronic publishing. In addition to organizing an "introductory session of the kiosk device" in Sahara Mall in Sharjah, and the Fields Mall in Abu Dhabi, which provides the public with an introduction to the latest applications that display the e-book and audio.
