The second day of the Pink Caravan Knights march, which started its tenth session last Wednesday, witnessed a great public turnover and wide participation by official institutions and civil society organizations.

More than 400 people joined the march on its second day: 200 from the Sharjah Children's Centers, 130 from the Police Academy, 50 from the Sharjah Girl Guides Commission, seven from Medcare Hospital, as well as the participation of six female jockeys from Sharjah Sajaya Girls, among others.

The march, which continues until the sixth of next March, started the day before yesterday from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, towards its first stop in the Sharjah Islamic Bank, then to the Abdullah bin Abbas Mosque, before continuing its path towards the second station in the Mega Mall, then to its third station At the headquarters of the Sharjah Police General Command, as she completed her path to the fourth station in the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, to stop at the Jubail market to take memorial photos, before reaching its fifth station at the front of Al Majaz.

The Pink Caravan concluded its second day course at the Al-Majaz facade, with an awareness-raising event that gathered a large crowd of families and their children, along with visitors who interacted with the event, by brainstorming, making inquiries, about breast cancer, volunteering mechanisms and contributing to conveying the message of the march.

Raise awareness

The awareness event organized by the Sharjah Children Centers, with the participation of more than 200 children, ages 6 to 12 years, in cooperation with the organizing committee of the march, included workshops, cultural, artistic and recreational activities targeting parents and their children, with the aim of spreading health awareness among children, And their families, and encouraging young people to the values ​​of giving through donation, and volunteering to support humanitarian issues, with the aim of building a generation that is aware, and is able to participate in conveying the message of the pink caravan, and contribute to achieving its goals.

For its part, the head of the activities department - Children of Sharjah, Nashwa Al Ghassani, said that the participation of the centers came with the aim of contributing to the noble humanitarian campaign, and spreading its awareness messages among all members of society, and encouraging women and men to initiate the necessary tests to detect breast cancer, in addition to enhancing awareness Young people, and urging them to volunteer in community initiatives, thereby contributing to the development and promotion of the values ​​of their social responsibility.

For her part, Amani Youssef (from Egypt) said that she was keen to accompany her child to participate in the event, to increase his awareness of the need to follow healthy behaviors, and avoid harmful, noting the importance of the march in raising community awareness, and that she gained knowledge about the necessity of self-disclosure, and periodic checks, Through the previous sessions of the rally of the Pink Caravan Knights.

As for Lama Hamadeh (from Palestine), who finally arrived in the Emirates with her family, she said that her desire to attend and participate in the event with her two children came with the aim of learning about the goals and messages of the Pink Caravan, confirming that her orientation to follow the paths of the caravan and her clinic comes due to its importance in protecting Society, promoting awareness of the importance of combating breast cancer.

With regard to detailed laboratory statistics for the second day of the march, 902 people, including 701 women, and 201 men, received medical, fixed, mobile, and daily clinics, and the march had begun to provide exams in its fixed clinics since February 16, bringing the total of those who submitted tests 4,662 people, including 3,920 women, and 742 men.
