At about 7 a.m. on February 28, the Hong Kong Police Squad conducted a visit to Lai Chi Ying's apartment. It is understood that Li Zhiying was suspected of participating in an illegal rally on August 31, 2019, and criminal intimidation of journalists in June 2018. Li Zhiying was arrested on the spot and taken to the Kowloon City Police Station for questioning.
Following the arrest of One Media founder Li Zhiying, former members of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, Li Zhuoren, He Junren, and former chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic Party, Yang Sen, were arrested by the police this morning, also suspected to be related to the "831 illegal assembly" in 2019.
