Graduation ceremony on campus broadcasting Miyazaki's high school new virus February 28 16:25

As a measure to prevent the transmission of the new coronavirus, a graduation ceremony was held at a private high school in Miyazaki City using an on-campus broadcast to prevent graduates from being gathered in one place.

At Miyazaki Daiichi High School in Miyazaki City, a graduation ceremony is held in the citizen hall every year, and Kotoshi was divided into seven locations, including audio-visual rooms and conference rooms, to prevent infection.

No graduates participated in the ceremony, and about 340 graduates and parents were arranged in each room.

Through a broadcast on the school, Ken Baba, a representative of the graduates, stated that he would like to walk step by step without escaping, even if he is worried and awkward in the life he is waiting for.

The ceremony ended in about 30 minutes without singing school songs, and the graduates received colored papers with diplomas and messages from their homeroom teachers.

The students said, "I am sorry that I could not take a commemorative photo with the students after the ceremony," or "I was worried that the ceremony could not be done, so it was okay to just do it."

Mr. Kenzo Ichimaru also said, "I feel sorry for graduates. I was worried a lot about preventing infection."
