On February 22, 2019, Algerians demonstrated across the country to demand the departure of Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who was running for a 5th term, and a change in political system. This protest movement, unprecedented in the country's history, remained peaceful. The election of a President brought the stability that some wanted. But those who demonstrated were not satisfied.

After a year of mobilization, what do they think of the new President? What do they want for their country? How do they envisage their future engagement? Our correspondent in Algeria crossed the north of the country, from Annaba in the east to Oran, in the west, to meet those who have mobilized in what is now called the "hirak".
