Jussie Smollett pleads not guilty to public disorder
Jussie Smollett does not budge: the actor of Empire , accused of disturbing public order for having, according to the Chicago police, organized himself the racist and homophobic aggression of which he says to have been victim, refuses to give in and decided to plead not guilty, according to the New York Times. The affair had caused a stir in early 2019, but despite the evidence that accumulated against him, the star maintained his version of the facts. Charged with public disorder for the first time in February 2019, the charges against him were dropped by the Cook County prosecutor in charge of the case. A decision that had aroused the indignation of the city authorities. Jussie Smollett is expected in court on March 18.
