[Explanation] On February 25, China News Agency reporters learned from the Drum Tower Hospital Affiliated to the Medical College of Nanjing University that the Jiangsu First Team of the Nanjing Medical Assistance Hubei Medical Team, composed of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and Liuhe and Gaochun Branch, was in Tongji, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Hubei Province. The Guanggu District of Tongji Hospital affiliated to the Medical College has been struggling for two weeks. Recently, medical staff conducted a rescue process of "speed of life and death" to treat a critically ill patient.

[Explanation] According to Zhao Zhiling, a member of the Nanjing First Team of the Jiangsu Medical Assistance Hubei Medical Team and a nurse of cardiovascular medicine at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, at that time, her ward will receive a tracheal intubation patient with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome and new coronary pneumonia, and immediately, The medical team worked quickly and implemented a rescue plan.

At that time, after learning the information of patients about to be transferred, Director Yu Wenkui, Head Nurse Wang Qing and Director Yang Hailong of our hospital immediately rushed from the resident to the scene to develop and formulate the rescue plan for the critically ill patients. At the same time, the other nurses on duty immediately changed the admission ward to a single room, and prepared rescue supplies such as invasive ventilator, suction device, ECG monitor, rescue vehicle, deep vein puncture tube pack, and vasoactive drugs.

[Explanation] Zhao Zhiling told reporters that during the transfer process, the patient's blood oxygen saturation was only 75%. Medical staff preset ventilator parameters, increased oxygen concentration, and adopted protective ventilation with low tidal volume.

When the patient arrived in the ward, we immediately connected the patient to a ventilator to assist in ventilation and suction, opened a venous channel for rehydration, and performed a deep vein puncture and catheterization.

[Explanation] It is reported that in the case of patients with severe hypotension, it is not easy for medical staff to perform deep vein catheterization.

Since our medical staff is wearing three layers of protective protective clothing, it is not easy to move. This requires us to have strong technology to perform deep vein catheterization for this patient. After the successful catheterization, we need to adjust the vasoactive drugs and transfer them. Input to the central vein to correct the patient's circulatory failure. With the active follow-up of rescue measures, the patient began to restore consciousness, and at the same time, irritability, vomiting, and tracheal intubation occurred. We readjusted the position of the intubation to ensure that the patient's blood oxygen saturation increased from 72% to 94%. The patient's circulation is gradually (recovered) stable. It can be said that the entire rescue process is busy without being chaotic, intense and efficient. Currently, the patient's physical condition is still recovering.

[Explanation] Yu Wenkui said that as a medical worker, participating in the "anti-epidemic" front line is a duty and a mission.
