On the afternoon of February 25, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government held a press conference to report the latest situation of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. On the 25th, there were 3 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 84.

The new cases include a MTR staff member and KFC branch staff in the North Point area of Hong Kong Island. The employee is the younger sister of the 76th confirmed case in Hong Kong. Both sisters have been to Fuhui Jingshe, a Buddhist temple in North Point, where a number of confirmed cases have been reported a few days ago. It is understood that the employee's son was also diagnosed with the infection, but he has not been to the Buddhist temple.

Prior to the 23rd, the Hong Kong Health Protection Center of the Hong Kong Department of Health had visited the Buddhist temple to collect multiple environmental samples. It was found that samples of the new crown pneumonia virus were positive on toilet taps, Buddhist scripture books, cushions and other items. At present, seven confirmed patients have been confirmed to have visited the temple. Another 153 people called the Department of Health and reported that they had been there. (CCTV reporter Zhang Yi)
