At 12:03 Beijing time on February 24th, a China Southern Airlines B777F cargo plane took off from Sydney with 41.2 tons of epidemic prevention materials and flew directly to Wuhan, Hubei. This is the first time that China Southern has carried out a direct cargo flight to Wuhan since the outbreak.

The charter flight departed from Guangzhou and flew directly to Sydney. After loading the cargo, it flew directly from Wuhan to Wuhan. The flight took nearly 20 hours. It is understood that the anti-epidemic materials carried on board, including protective clothing, masks, gloves, goggles, etc., are urgently needed materials for the front line of epidemic prevention.

With the resumption of production and orderly progress, the regular flights of all cargo planes of China Southern have been fully restored in mid-February. According to statistics, as of February 24, 183,993 aids and 2,328 tons of aid materials were carried by 65 units at home and abroad. (Reporter Guo Jun)
