Lourdes Oñederra worked in his office of the Faculty of Letters of the University of the Basque Country in Vitoria when, on February 22, 2000, the windows vibrated. It was the car bomb that ETA had blown up nearby, at the passage of the socialist Fernando Buesa and his escort, Jorge Díez Elorza . Lourdes was then 41 years old.
