Before the peach festival next month, an exhibition featuring precious dolls made during the Edo period is being held in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.
At the Kamakura National Treasure Museum in Kamakura City, there are about 100 dolls sent by citizens, mainly dolls made during the Edo period.
Of these, "Kyoho Hina", which became popular in the middle of the Edo period, features a long egg-shaped face and a bulging body.
Visitors can see a variety of dolls, such as "Kashibina", which is about one to two centimeters in size, and "Tachibana", which is dressed in Japanese paper. They were watching carefully.
A fourth grade girl from Hino, Tokyo, said, "I was a little scared of the big dolls of the Edo period, and the little ones were cute."
Chihiro Ishii, a curator at the Kamakura National Treasure Museum, said, "Because there are a variety of dolls, I would like you to enjoy their size, size, and luxury."
The exhibition is open until next month.
