National Geographic Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of its latest "local production" "Alone to the Top" show, which documents the young Jordanian Dolores journey to the summit of Mount Everest, to be the first Arab woman in history to climb Everest from the northeastern side which is the most difficult way to reach the highest summit In the world.

This flight is considered one of the most dangerous at all due to the high rates of death during its severe conditions, from low temperatures through strong winds to the absence of rescue operations by helicopters.

The Dolores Explorer, a 28-year-old explorer, succeeded in overcoming these challenges, thus becoming the first Arab woman to climb to the summit, which rises to 8,839 meters above sea level from its northeastern side.

National Geographic Abu Dhabi accompanies viewers on a journey during which it tells the story of Dolores to the summit of Everest, and how it overcame all possible obstacles to realize its dream, as part of the channel’s commitment to showcase local inspirational stories and launch new platforms for Arab explorers.

National Geographic documentary "Alone to the Top" will be presented on the eighth of next March, in conjunction with the celebration of International Women's Day in a series of documentary films and programs that highlight the achievements of women in the Arab world and the world.

Dolores Al Shallah seeks to inspire Arab women and motivate them to challenge themselves and pursue their dreams, no matter how difficult it is, as the young woman wrote history as the first Arab to climb the summit of Mount Mansool in the Himalayas, the eighth highest mountain in the world at an altitude of 8156 meters above the sea level, then return to her adventure and climb Everest.
