Video footage showed the collapse of the wife of the director of the Wuhan Hospital, physician Liu Zhiming, after her husband died on the 17th of this month due to his infection with the new "Corona" virus.
The footage showed Liu's wife chasing the dead van that was carrying his body from the hospital to the Holocaust, in Wuhan, according to the British newspaper "The Sun".
Liu died at the age of 51 from infection with the virus, after he was fighting the epidemic on the front lines, and was considered a "hero" on social media platforms in China, especially in Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus.
The late was admitted to the hospital for treatment of the virus, on January 23, and his nurse wife in the same hospital has not been able to see him since then.
Liu became the first Chinese hospital chief to lose his life due to the new Corona virus, which has killed more than 2,230 people.
The hospital's health authorities had earlier refused to allow his wife, the chief nurse of the Wuhan No. 3 Intensive Care Unit, to see her husband for about a month before his death, or to allow her to care for him during his treatment for fear that the virus would spread to her.
After being infected with the virus, Doctor Liu was transferred to the intensive care unit on February 4, and the couple kept in touch with messages and video calls.
His condition was serious throughout his illness, as he was suffering from a fever and a constant high temperature immediately after entering the hospital.
