"Koh-Lanta", the emblematic reality TV show of TF1, offers a new sound design after 19 years of existence, in line with the somewhat special season which opens Friday evening.

Highlights of the TV season, Koh-Lanta returns Friday, February 21, an appointment still eagerly awaited by fans of the show and by TF1. And for this new season, dubbed "The Isle of Heroes", the production has prepared a surprise for the fans. The iconic generic of Koh-Lanta, one of the trademarks of the program, and which has existed since the first broadcast 19 years ago, changes!

More punchy, more dramatic, this new credits somewhat abandons the ethnic sounds so emblematic of the first version. This opus was specially composed for this somewhat special season, since it will see former game champions and anonymous candidates compete. No decision, however, has yet been made regarding the sustainability of this new generic for the coming seasons.

Candidates who have "a revenge to take"

"This year, we decided to evolve the credits, because it corresponds to the story we are telling. There, exceptionally, and for the first time in Koh-Lanta , there will be heroes known to all who are going to face anonymous people. So we wanted raging generic music ", explains Europe 1 microphone Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the producer of Koh-Lanta . "These five heroes all have revenge to take in Koh-Lanta . They were often at the gates of the final, but never won. We wanted to illustrate musically this aggressiveness, this desire to compete," she concludes.
