Conservatives favored in parliamentary elections in Iran

Some 58 million Iranians began electing a new parliament this Friday for a vote in which the Conservatives are favorites. It must be said that the economic crisis is fueling popular resentment against moderate President Hassan Rohani. Above all, the context of this vote is particular. The new legislature will begin its work amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington. This contributed to the distrust of the population, mainly after the Iranian armed forces had “mistakenly” shot down a Ukrainian airliner almost a month and a half ago.

The world of politics is finally seizing the plague of bedbugs

Finding a solution against the proliferation of this insect seems to be unanimously accepted by the political class. On the left, a rebellious member of parliament has erected the fight against bedbugs in combat. In the majority, a former candidate for mayor of Paris shared his painful experience. The Ministry of Housing has therefore just launched a plan to combat the resurgence of these parasites. While bedbugs were practically eradicated in France in the middle of the 20th century, the figures reported by the professionals of their extermination show that 400,000 sites, including not only accommodation but also hotels, were treated in 2018, the last year benchmark, almost a third more than the previous year. The government therefore launched an information campaign on Friday, with a dedicated number (0.806.706.806) and a site (stop-punaises.gouv.fr).

Fessenheim workers threaten not to shut down reactor

In the case of the Fessenheim nuclear power plant, will the deadlines be met? If the countdown is indeed launched, site employees threaten to disobey and not apply the shutdown procedures for the N.1 reactor, which must be definitively put out of service overnight from Friday to Saturday. Others, however, believe it would be "unthinkable". Response therefore in less than 24 hours.
