An Ile-de-France doctor was given a three-month suspended sentence for signing a tribune against homeopathy, while nine others received a reprimand from the Order of Physicians.

A “violation of the duty of brotherhood”
Mathieu Van Dessel, general practitioner in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) and treasurer of the FakeMed collective, was given the rare sanction of “suspended practice for three months”, while the other nine Doctors who appeared with him on December 17, including Mathias Wargon, Marion Lagneau and Pierre de Brémond d'Ars, received a reprimand.

Sixty signatories prosecuted
This forum, signed by 124 health professionals, had relaunched the debate on the reimbursement of homeopathy, closed in July by a decision of the Ministry of Health: since January 1, small granules previously reimbursed at 30% are no longer only 15%, and they will no longer be at all from 2021.
This decision was based on an overwhelming opinion from the French National Authority for Health (HAS), according to which homeopathic products had "not been scientifically proven to be sufficient to justify reimbursement". Even before the final decision, the National Union of Homeopathic Physicians (SNMHF) had prosecuted some sixty signatories from the rostrum before the Council of the College of Physicians.
