Her father expressed his deep gratitude and thanks to the Foundation and stood by with his suffering and good contribution.
On February 17, Emirates Today published the story of the daughter’s father’s suffering in his inability to pay 345 thousand and 737 dirhams for his daughter’s treatment bill.
According to Zulekha Hospital in Dubai, the newborn was suffering from a hernia in the diaphragm from the right side below the lung, and that the intestine and liver caused incomplete lung development on the right side.
And the father of the infant (Hayat - four months - Egyptian) told “Emirates Today” his story saying, “I gave the name (Hayat) to my child before she was born when the doctor told us that my wife will give birth to our first baby, and my wife put life in Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, and the doctor told us that she is suffering Breathing problems, and the necessary procedure was taken with my child, but her condition got worse, and the treating doctor requested that she be transferred to a hospital specializing in children, and indeed we transferred her to Zulekha Hospital in Dubai.
He added, “After its transfer, it became clear that (Hayat) is suffering from a hernia in the diaphragm from the right side below the lung, and the intestine and liver are located in the place of the lung, which prevented the formation of the right lung, and this caused her inflammation in the blood, and doctors were unable to perform the diaphragm operation , Only after undergoing the treatment of inflammation you suffer ». He pointed out that «(Hayat) underwent a successful operation two days after her hospitalization, and she stayed a week later in the intensive care unit, but a relapse occurred again, and a sudden swelling of the abdomen occurred, and it was found that she suffers from a bowel obstruction and must undergo urgent surgery And on the same day she underwent the operation, and after a week there was a severe reflux in the esophagus, and doctors decided to undergo two surgeries.
He explained that «after the last operation I stayed in the hospital for 20 days, after which the doctors stated that she was discharged from the hospital, and her health condition was stable, and after four days passed her condition was reversed, and medicines were dispensed to her, and the treatment bill amounted to 345 thousand and 737 dirhams, and this amount is above My modest financial capabilities, thank God, the Jalila Foundation contributed 80 thousand dirhams, and the remaining amount is 265 thousand and 737 dirhams.
The father said, “I am the sole breadwinner for my family, and I work in one of the private entities in Dubai with a salary of 4000 dirhams, from which he goes 1650 dirhams a month to rent the house, and the rest of the expenses and requirements of life.” He appealed to the people of goodness and the owners of compassionate hearts to help him in arranging the rest of the treatment for his baby.
