Duchess and Duke of Sussex, Meghan and Harry - Avalon / Starface

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle start their new life in Canada, one detail poses a problem: what will they be called? Until now, their presence on social networks was under the name of "Sussex Royal", but according to the Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth II believes that since they have renounced their royal duties, this denomination does not no longer has to be.

The term Sussex is not a problem, since they remain Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but the word "royal" could therefore disappear. Except that the couple apparently wouldn't be ready to get rid of it right away. Several sources, including People, say negotiations are underway to determine what is going on.

The way not royal

When they announced their departure from the royal family and to Canada, but also the creation of their site dedicated to their charitable efforts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had not considered using a name other than "Sussex Royal ". The proof: their entire presence on the Internet, including social networks, is via the Sussex Royal "label", and they have even registered the brand.

So that was without counting on Elisabeth II, who, if she publicly stated that she supported her grandson in her decision, clearly does not intend to help him do business on the back of the Royal family. Sussex yes, but royal, not anymore.
