More than 1800 dolls on a huge doll bed Saitama Konosu February 19 15:28
Before the peach festival on the 3rd of next month, an event to decorate about 1800 dolls on a huge 7-meter-high doll bed is being held in Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture.
This event is held every year at this time by local tourist associations to promote Konosu City, where flourishing dolls are popular.
On the open space of a commercial facility near JR Konosu Station, a huge 7-meter-high doll platform was set up and decorated with about 1,800 dolls from all over the country.
Many people, including families, visited the venue and enjoyed the atmosphere of the Hina Matsuri by taking pictures.
A woman from Konosu, who came with her 2-year-old daughter, said, "I was surprised at the height of the dolls and the number of dolls. I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of the doll festival."
The event is open until next month.
