Event to experience the competition in Tokyo Para. Cancellation of spread of infection 11:39 on February 19, Akita

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, Akita City has canceled the event to experience the Tokyo Paralympic Games scheduled for March 22 and 23 this month.

The event was canceled at AEON MALL Akita in Akita City, where you can experience the Tokyo Paralympic Games, which was scheduled to be held for two days on March 22 and 23 this month.

According to Tokio Marine & Nichido sponsoring the event, the decision was made to cancel the event due to concerns about the spread of the new coronavirus infection and the government calling for self-restraint of unnecessary and urgent meetings.

It was originally scheduled to be held last October, but was postponed due to Typhoon No. 19, which caused severe damage in Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures.

A similar event was held in Tohoku prefectures other than Akita by September of last year, and about 1,500 people visited in many venues in two days.

There are no plans to reschedule, and Tokio Marine & Nichido's Public Relations Department has stated that "We have decided to cancel the test after considering the maximum possible measures to prevent the spread of the infection."
