7:27 am: Director of a Wuhan hospital dies after contracting the virus

Liu Zhiming, director of Wuchan Hospital in Wuhan, died on Tuesday morning of the coronavirus, indicates the American media CNN relaying information from the "health" commission of the city of Wuhan. Liui Zhiming was a neurosurgeon. He is the first hospital director to die from the virus whose epidemic started in Wuhan in late 2019.

7.20am: China exempts medical equipment from customs duties

China announced Tuesday an exemption from punitive customs duties it imposed in the context of its trade war with the United States on certain imported American medical equipment, in order to better counter the current epidemic of viral pneumonia.

Equipment used to transfuse patients or measure blood pressure will be exempt from customs duties from March 2, according to a list published by the government's Customs Commission.
