Emile Ratelband reports to the Utrecht police on Tuesday, the AD reports Monday. There is a chance that he will be arrested and have to spend a few days in custody. This is because Ratelband last year took his 11-year-old son to Belgium without his ex-wife's permission.

Emile Ratelband reports to the Utrecht police on Tuesday, the AD reports Monday. There is a chance that he will be arrested and have to spend a few days in custody. This is because Ratelband last year took his 11-year-old son to Belgium without his ex-wife's permission.

Last week it was announced that a European arrest warrant had been issued against the 70-year-old Ratelband. Ratelband claimed that his ex-wife Moon abused their son and that it would be better for the boy to be with Ratelband in Kanne, Belgium, where Ratelband lives.

The Belgian Court of Appeal decided last week that if Ratelband would voluntarily report itself to the Dutch police, it would not have to be extradited. After that judgment, Ratelband handed over his son to his ex-wife again.

Ratelband's lawyer, Mark Nillesen, thinks the arrest will be short-lived. This is because Ratelbands son is back with his mother and Ratelband is going to make a comprehensive statement.
