The presenter Caroline Flack of the British dating program Love Island died today at the age of 40. Her family confirmed her death on Saturday, reports The Hollywood Reporter .

"We can confirm that Caroline died on February 15," according to a statement on behalf of Flack's family. "We ask the press to respect the privacy of her family during this difficult period."

According to various media, the British death was found in her apartment. A cause of death was not disclosed.

Flack presented Love Island from 2015 to 2019. After an accusation she denied having abused her friend Lewis Burton, she stopped presenting the program that was shown in the Netherlands at RTL 5 and Videoland.

In November, RTL announced that it will temporarily stop reality programs such as Love Island . The channel decided to do this after sexually exceeding behavior in reality show De Villa .
