An American child under the age of 5 was able to save 7 people and a dog from almost certain death in Prato County, Georgia, according to the British newspaper "The Sun".

The child Noah Woods was able to lend a hand to save his two-year-old sister, after he woke up in the morning to a major fire that broke out at his house due to a short circuit.

Fortunately for the child, Lily, her brother was sharing her room, as the latter rushed to remove her directly from the window before returning to save their dog.

Not only did the "little hero" save his sister and the dog, the fire spread to the next house, where his uncle and grandfather lived with 4 family members.

Immediately, Noah rushed to his uncle's house and woke the sleepers before being devoured by strong fire, causing the head of the fire department to pay tribute to the child's acumen, intelligence and guided behavior.

Fire chief Dwayne Jameson told CNN that he was "used to seeing children alerting their families when similar incidents occurred," adding: "But what this five-year-old did was extraordinary."

David Woth, grandfather of Noah, said: "My grandson saved our lives ... We were drowning in sleep, and we didn't feel what was going on around us."

Noah will be honored by the Fire Department and awarded the title "Honorary Firefighter", in the presence of Georgia State Governor Brian Kemp.
