Breaking surface is about two sisters with a tricky relationship. During a winter dive, one sister gets stuck thirty feet deep and Moa Old Ginsburg's character Ida has to fight to save her sister's life.

- It is a fairly unusual female character to play, a person who is scared and who is quite poor at diving and who must then resolve the situation, says Moa Gammel Ginsburg.

Most proud that she survived

Before filming, Moa Old Ginsburg had never tried diving before, and the recording was preceded by a few weeks of diving training.

- I actually jumped off the movie the third day into my dive training because I was too scared, she says.

It became a matter of whether she could make the film at all because of the fear.

- But then they found a teacher for me who usually works with children otherwise who had to take it in small, small steps, she says.

- I'm most proud that I survived.

Depicts women in an unusual way

Moa Old Ginsburg is also proud of how the two sisters Ida and Tuva are portrayed in the film.

- The film has two female protagonists and a look that is very raw in a way that you don't usually see female actors in, she says.

Will you dive again?

- Maybe in a wet suit, where it's warm and I get to watch fish. But never in fucking ice cream again. No, I won't!

Breaking surface premieres on February 14
