Two mice are on the back legs in what appears to be a classic fight. Photographer Sam Rowley's “Station squabbel” became the winning image when the Natural History Museum in London released this year's nature photograph, writes Kulturnytt in Sweden's Radio.

For a week, Rowley was lying on his stomach with the camera in London's subway to capture the image. The mouse noise was over in a second and must have been about a bread crumb.

His hunt for the picture attracted some attention. Among other things, a man suddenly fell over him, because he thought Rowley had had a heart attack.

A total of 48,000 images were submitted to the competition. 28,000 people then voted on the winning image. According to Sam Rowley, it is the most "liked" image in the news company BBC's history.

He himself hopes that the image will make people catch the eye for "unexpected dramas in the most everyday metropolitan environment," he says in a press release, according to SR.
