The German Association of Neurologists has stated that facial pain has several causes such as cluster headaches, migraines, and physical psychological troubles.

Facial pain may also be due to what is known as the "trigeminal nerve pain" also known as the "fifth nerve", which is one of the main nerves of the brain located on both sides of the face, and branches into three branches that feed into three areas: the forehead, the middle of the face and the jaw.

Therefore, the patient should write down the timing of the pain and the type of seizures and present them to a neurologist to help him diagnose the true cause behind facial pain, and then determine the proper method of treatment.
