The unprecedented retrospective dedicated to the Louvre to Leonardo da Vinci for the 500 years of the death of the genius is coming to an end. It will conclude, after more than three months of exposure, with three days of opening day and night, announced on February 9 the president and director of the Parisian museum in the Journal du dimanche.

"For visitors, this is the unique opportunity to see or review so many works gathered from this genius of the Renaissance, and this in a particular atmosphere, specific to the night", underlines Jean-Luc Martinez.

During the last three days of the exhibition, Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 February, visitors will be able to come from 9 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The entrance to these nights will be free but by reservation required online from this Tuesday noon on the louvre.fr site.

Nearly 30,000 places will be offered, according to the JDD, for this unprecedented operation, like an extraordinary exhibition inaugurated on October 24, the largest ever devoted to the Italian painter.

The Louvre opted for these free nights in order to "reiterate to everyone that the museum is made for everyone", according to Jean-Luc Martinez, who explains that more than 40% of the nearly 10 million annual visitors pay nothing.
