A shocking press report published yesterday by the "Daily Star" newspaper uncovered strange practices related to food cooking methods in China, which made them the subject of judicial follow-up, which reached death sentences.

A large number of Chinese recycle sewage dirt into cooking oils, then sold to restaurants at cheap prices, especially used in the famous "Sichuan" dishes, which are used in huge quantities mixed with hot pepper oil.

With the spread of the deadly Corona virus, China has tightened control over such practices, and has set prison and death sentences, given the seriousness of this on the health of millions of Chinese and the diseases that may spread by it.

Although there is no direct link between sewage oils and the outbreak of the new corona virus, "Corona", these illegal practices are a major concern for long-term food safety in China.

And Chinese media reported that these oils are extremely toxic, and have side effects such as diarrhea, abdominal pain and other serious health problems that affect cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

Despite the severe penalties, the press report confirmed that 10% of the country's cooking oil is still made from recycled waste.

In 2011, 32 people were arrested for producing polluted oils from 100 tons of oil illegally obtained from a factory, according to a Chinese media report.
