Former Beach Boys, Brian Wilson - Chris DELMAS / VISUAL Press Agency

Brian Wilson, ex-leader of the Beach Boys, cannot bear to see the group he co-founded playing at hunting conventions. Indeed, the Beach Boys, who now have only one founding member in the person of Mike Love, performed at an event organized by the Safari Club International this week.

“This organization supports trophy hunting, which Al (Jardine) and I oppose. There is nothing we can do to stop the concert, so join us by signing this petition, ”tweeted the artist.

This organization supports trophy hunting, which Both Al and I are emphatically opposed to. There's nothing we can do personally to stop the show, so please join us in signing the petition at https://t.co/vOUtJDq6t2

A petition was launched on Change.org, calling on fans to "stop downloading Beach Boys music, go to Beach Boys concerts and buy merchandising." The petition thus collected more than 100,000 signatures in a few days.

The Safari Club International convention started on February 5 in Reno, Nevada. According to the Guardian , the event was hosted by Donald Trump Jr., the son of the President, who is also passionate about hunting.
