Actor Kirk Douglas, the star of the movie "Spartacus", died yesterday at the age of 103, his son, Michael Douglas, announced on social media.
"With great sadness, my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas has left us today," wrote Michael Douglas in an Instagram post.
He added: "As for the world, he was a legend and actor from the golden age of films. He is a fan of humanity and committed to justice and the issues he believed in and set a standard for all of us to look forward to."
He continued: "But for me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was a simple father."
Dulas was the son of immigrants and grew up in New York State, and has starred in more than 80 films over his decades of artistic advice.
