Invited in "The wild team", on Monday, the rapper Oxmo Puccino returned to the multiple collaborations that take place in his new album, "The night of the awakening". His duet with rapper Orelsan in the title "My life" was, according to Oxmo Puccino, particularly striking because of affinities, much more than musical.

At 45, rapper Oxmo Puccino is far from saying goodbye to music. At the beginning of September, he released his seventh album, called La nuit duival, in which he offers several duets: one with the trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf and others with the rappers Grand Corps Malade and Orelsan. At the microphone of Matthieu Noël, Oxmo Puccino explained on Monday why he thought it was necessary to collaborate with other artists, even after so many years of experience.

Because, Oxmo Puccino first sees in these famous artists very wide possibilities of creation. "I am a music lover above all so when I meet them it is as a music lover. It is always a great trip", launches the rapper.

One of the collaborations that marked him is the one he made with Orelsan. Oxmo Puccino has, in fact, established a special relationship with him. "The first time I met Orelsan, I was impressed because I have a fascination with antiheroes. And then I told myself that he had that extra element that made the difference. C is what makes us love him so much today, "says the rapper.

A title that clashes within the album

Oxmo Puccino says he finds himself a lot in Orelsan, especially about "self derision", "simplicity, the way of approaching life, out of step with the rest of the world". A finding that was manifested, for example, in the duo "My life".
