  • "Vivarium", indoors March 11

An Irish-Luxembourg-Danish co-production, Vivarium is in a way the “absolute nightmare of a heterosexual middle-class couple”, according to a formula approved by the director Lorcan Finnegan with 20 Minutes . Or the story of two thirty-something lovers (Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots) dreaming of buying their home sweet home and finding themselves in a suburban residence that gives the impression of having been designed by René Magritte. • "The Room", in theaters on March 25

A couple moves into a dilapidated house and discovers that one of the rooms literally offers them everything they want as long as it is formulated. This French film by Christian Volckman, with Olga Kurylenko in one of the main roles, starts from an original premise. The result is rather applied and will be perfect for those who are not fond of bloody horrific excesses.

  • "The Vigil"

In Brooklyn, Yakov, who has left his Orthodox Jewish community, however, agrees to watch over a body during a funeral vigil. This film by Keith Thomas takes its originality from the religious rite, a pretext for intrigue. Impressionable souls abstain. The Vigil's theatrical release date has not yet been set, but it is expected to arrive in dark theaters later this year.

  • "Saint Maud", June 24

In Gérardmer, this is the film in competition that everyone was talking about. British Rose Rose's first film features a young home nurse who believes she is receiving messages from God. This tale of a mystical crisis will come at the right time at the beginning of the summer to refresh the dark rooms with its chilling sequences.
