The government will set up on Saturday a toll free number for people who ask questions about the coronavirus not justifying to call the 15, announced this Friday the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn.

This number, 0800 130 000, "will be open from 9 am to 7 pm every day" and reserved for "all matters that do not concern health," said the minister. This is to relieve the teams that manage calls to 15 and are currently "very mobilized to answer questions that are not medical," she said.

Parcel deliveries or Chinese restaurants

This number aims to answer questions that are not related to symptoms, such as people who wonder if they can continue to eat in Chinese restaurants or if receiving a package from China may involve the risk of contamination. On the other hand, "if people have symptoms and medical questions, you have to call centers 15 if you come back (…) from China," she recalled.

Asked also about the phenomena of discrimination encountered by certain people of Asian origin in France since the beginning of the epidemic, Agnès Buzyn called on the population to "have a civic sense and not stigmatize a community".
