As the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov noted, the artist “lived a great vibrant life”, in which there was a place “both for feat and theatrical fame”. Shtokbant, according to Beglov, was an artilleryman during World War II.

Stockbant died on January 26 at the age of 94.
