A public campaign against presidential amendments to the Constitution can turn into a movement of mistrust in the authorities, Open Media happily informs us, and Mikhalborisych Khodorkovsky gamblingly posts on social networks, trying to explain the horror of the disaster approaching Russia with his fingers.

In fact, amendments to the Constitution, which provoked such a stormy reaction among oppositionists of all stripes, are just an excuse to once again start a turmoil. That's just the motives this time, some were different.

Khodorkovsky is most interested in popular unrest. Because this is his last chance, which must be realized by May 9th. After all, Victory Day will become his personal apocalypse. Every consent of every world leader to come to Moscow that day sounds to him like the sound of a Jericho trumpet, causing almost physical suffering. The fact is that after his release from prison, Khodorkovsky was engaged in trying to discredit Putin and prove his illegitimacy. Together with their friend Browder, they spent a lot of time and effort to realize what Obama failed to do. Namely, to isolate Russia in the international arena by making it a rogue country.

On May 9, 2020, the crystal dream of Khodorkovsky and partners will turn into a pumpkin. That’s why he was in a hurry, trying, under the sauce of terrible stories about usurpation of power and a life-long dictatorship, to organize at least some mass protests with which you can try to declare Putin a Terran and push at least someone not to come to Moscow.

However, this venture is unlikely to be doomed to success. After all, firstly, changes to the Constitution are a purely internal affair of every country, and secondly, those wishing to take to the streets and defend the priority of international law over Russian law and the interests of officials with dual citizenship, as well as resist the indexation of pensions, are catastrophically small.

And the biggest mistake of the Russian opposition is that it is still convinced that the overwhelming majority of the population of Russia is an uneducated cattle, completely ignorant of anything, and therefore guided and controlled.

But the trick is that the information of the opposition living in their microcosm is very outdated. Legal and political literacy, and with it the ability to separate grains from the chaff among Russians, has grown significantly in recent years. Therefore, terrible stories about Terran and the usurper work only with respect to a very narrow circle of people, the bulk of whom do not have the right to vote. Either due to minority, or due to the lack of Russian citizenship.

Moreover, Navalny also planted an unexpected pig for his comrades-in-arms, declaring that the goal of his life was to fight Putin. Therefore, he will not bargain for trifles and waste his precious time on trifles such as amendments to the Constitution.

It is understandable. Lesha accumulates strength for the next year. Namely - for the elections to the State Duma. Therefore, spraying on pre-failed events makes no sense. However, some maneuvers are planned. But they will not be of great strategic importance. It will be, rather, an image campaign, in the framework of which, again, it will be emphasized that the priority for Navalny is to fight with the cause (Putin), and not with the consequence (amendments to the Constitution).

As for all the other participants in the farce, trying to fight the realization of truly popular aspirations, they are doomed to failure. And the chances of becoming a laughing stock with every new utterance and appeal are increasing. However, for them the process is much more important than the result. Therefore, the next two months they will create the illusion of violent activity, trying to get into the top news and become the object of attention for the Western press. I do not exclude the possibility that they will try to challenge the results of the vote by using structures they like so much like the ECHR, but in fact they will again be left with nothing.

But if for the majority of participants in this meaningless marathon this will be just another failure, then for Khodorkovsky it will turn into the final collapse of all his hopes and, in general, the collapse of his life’s work. In this connection, his subsequent attempts to undermine the situation in Russia are likely to be tough and even radical. And his situational allies have a reason to seriously think about what quality and for what purposes he is ready to use them in the near future.

Therefore, before joining the active phase of dancing to the tune of MBH, it would be nice to stop for a minute, exhale and ask yourself only one question: is there a short-term hype of long-term consequences that sooner or later arise for everyone who somehow turns out to be a puppet in the hands of Khodorkovsky?

However, everyone chooses for himself. And if someone is ready to continue, without disdaining any methods, means and connections, to speak out against Russia and the aspirations of its citizens - this is his right. Only then, when you have to admit another debacle, do not complain that you were again used by some, but not appreciated by others.
