The U.S. Department of State said on Monday that it had instructed an employee of the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan, China, to evacuate to the United States in an interview with NHK.
According to the State Department, the charter aircraft will leave Wuhan on the morning of the 29th and head to Ontario, California.
The charter aircraft will also be occupied by some civilians and will be checked for any symptoms before departure.
The U.S. Embassy in Beijing said on Wednesday that it was making adjustments to return employees in Wuhan on a temporary flight, and was calling on local Americans to use it.
