The tenth session of the Sharjah Light Festival kicks off on the fifth of February next, to illuminate several sites and monuments in the emirate, in addition to many surprises and impressive light shows.

Sharjah Trade and Tourism Development Authority said that the festival activities will start specifically from the Sharjah Municipality building, which will turn into an architectural icon that narrates the march of the development of Arab culture and its impact between the past and the present. For 11 consecutive nights, until February 15, the most prominent architectural monuments will be decorated with a light illumination.

The event attracts a selection of international and local artists who have long experience who have participated in this type of international festival.

Among the sites that will host the tenth session of the festival are: University City Hall, American University of Sharjah, Police Sciences Academy, Sharjah City Municipality, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Noor Mosque, Al Qasba, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamriyah Municipality, Sharjah University in Kalba, and Mosque Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi in Dibba Al-Hisn. New sites have also been added to the festival’s list of shows this year: the University of Sharjah, the Sharjah Mosque, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, the Imran Tarim Square, and the Al Wusta Channel Building in Dhaid,
And the building of the Judicial House in Khor Fakkan, and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Khor Fakkan.

Khaled Jassim Al-Midfa, head of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, said during a conference to reveal the details of the festival, in front of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry building front: “We celebrate this year 10 years of the rich legacy of the artistic cultural event, and the tenth edition represents an important milestone in the success of the success that This festival is being led by the festival, which continues to gain wide international fame by presenting impressive light shows that live up to the expectations of visitors and residents, and embody the spirit and culture of Sharjah.
