"Ever since the book came, I have received requests for filmization, but it is only with Anagram that it feels obvious," says author and doctor Bea Uusma in a press release.

The book is about the unsolved mystery of the failed Andrée expedition in 1897, in which the three Swedes SA Andrée, Nils Strindberg and Knut Frænkel were killed in their attempt to fly over the North Pole in an air balloon. The story also weaves the love story between Nils Strindberg and his fiancee Anna.

“Since much of my book is about the true story of Anna and Nils, it has been extremely important to me that the story about them must be done properly, with respect for being real people. I have done research on these people for almost 20 years and feel a responsibility, ”says Bea Uusma.

In the film, the story will be told in several layers, she adds, "where present and past lie on top of each other in invisible layers".

The film's screenwriter and director has not yet been presented.
