Brigitte Alouqua, contributor to the reading group "20 Minutes Books" and blogger, recommends Les Passeurs de Lumière # 2 by Blandine P. Martin, published on January 20, 2020 in self-publishing.

His favorite quote:

“In a few days, I will be tested on my abilities as a Light Passer. Time has passed faster than I ever imagined. "

Why this book?

  • Because the end of the first volume was frustrating? Oh yeah ! Could this dear Blandine P. Martin put the level even higher with that of the second? Quite frankly, she did it, just a month after the first volume came out!
  • Because in this volume 2, I loved to see Serena better highlighted , although it is not one of my favorite characters. I appreciated this highlight (no pun intended with the title of the work).
  • Because the past of one of the characters resurfaces and it will do some damage. Yes, Blandine P. Martin is the type to make his readers scream when they turn the last page of a volume which is not the last, you are warned.

The essential in 2 minutes

The plot. Finally ready to stand on her own two feet, Elisa is gaining autonomy. However, a shadow hangs over the young woman and the whole group whose balance is still fragile.

Characters. The characters evolve, their relationships too. Elisa becomes emancipated and grows beautifully.

Places. Just like for the first volume, we are mainly in London. But missions can take characters elsewhere.

The time. Contemporary.

The author. A novelist passionate about raw and intense feelings, Blandine P. Martin already has more than 17 novels to her credit, some of which have been translated into Italian, English and Spanish. What she loves most is touching the hearts of her readers.

This book was read with eagerness at the beginning, frustration at the end, waiting while turning the last page…
