“I want you to spend a relaxing time in Okinawa” Completed accommodation for a child with intractable disease January 27 17:47

I want children with intractable diseases to spend a relaxing time in Okinawa. An accommodation facility with such a concept was completed in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture, and a commemorative ceremony was held on the 26th.

This facility was built in Onna Village by a Tokyo organization that supports children and families with incurable diseases with the support of the Nippon Foundation and other organizations.

On the 26th, a commemorative ceremony was held, and about 30 officials attended celebrated the completion of the facility.

The facility is approximately 320 square meters and has 4 rooms and private baths.

Many children who are supported by the group expressed their desire to spend time in Okinawa, which led to the construction.

In addition, in order to ensure that children stay with peace of mind, there is a system in place that allows them to consult a partner hospital promptly even if their physical condition deteriorates.

This facility is slated to open in March.

The president of the organization that built the accommodation facility said, “We want to create a space where people can live happily while interacting with each other and use it as many people as possible.”
