On April 24, a male worker cleaning a sewer pipe in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, left his head above the ground from a manhole on the road, collided with a car and fell underground, and died. At around 10:20 am on the 24th, Terumasa Hayashi (47), a worker of a company that undertakes cleaning of sewer pipes at the intersection of Jusanzuka, Nodacho, Kariya City, left his head from the manhole and found a passenger car running. I collided and fell underground.

Hayashi was beaten and taken to the hospital for treatment, but died early in the morning on the 25th.

According to the police, at the time of the accident, one security guard was guiding the car around the site, but no measures were taken to surround the manhole with a fence.
