The day will be punctuated by numerous events throughout France. In Paris, the procession will start a little earlier than usual, at 11 a.m. from Place de la République to that of Concorde, where it will not be dispersed before 7 p.m.

7:23 am: The two bills presented to the Council of Ministers this Friday

The two draft pension reform laws are due to be presented this Friday at 10 a.m. in the Council of Ministers.

The organic bill provides for the financial framework for reform. The other, the ordinary bill, composed of 64 articles, defines the future universal points system and the transition from one pension plan to another.

7:19 am: Focus on SNCF and RATP
