Sagamihara's office worker stabbed at the 2nd trial acquitted of a man

Three years ago, the Tokyo High Court, second in court, acquitted a man accused of murdering an office worker with a knife on a street in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

It was Akihiko Oishi (41) of Sagamihara City who was sentenced to acquittal.

In December, three years ago, he was consistently accused of guilty of murdering an office worker with a knife on a street in Onodai, Minami-ku, Sagamihara.

The prosecutor's appeal was filed by the Yokohama District Court in the first instance, indicting that the defendant was not proved to the extent that there was no reasonable doubt that the defendant was the culprit.

Judge Kazuyuki Okuma of the Tokyo High Court said in a court ruling on Tuesday that "the reason that his eyeglasses were left on the scene was limited to criminal offenses or that it was highly probable. It cannot be said that if the defendant is not the culprit, the defendant cannot explain it. "

He then rejected the prosecution's appeal, stating that there was no error in the first instance and sentenced him to acquittal.

Oishi says, "I believed that the right judgment would come out. I feel that I can finally get started with this."
