In a rare event in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Aramati Mangayama, 74, gave birth to two twin daughters after undergoing artificial insemination, due to her intense desire to have children, according to the Mirror website.

The Times newspaper reported that the 76-year-old husband collapsed after birth and was transferred to intensive care in the same hospital, because he could not tolerate joy and suffered an acute neurological crisis.

With this unique event, Iramaty is the oldest new mother in the world, and Aramati said that her inspiration for the attempt is her neighbor who gave birth at the age of 55, and she added that she went through menopause 30 years ago.

She adds with great joy, "The wait that has lasted for 6 decades has ended, and now no one can call me anymore, fruitless."
