At the aquarium in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, the giant squid Daiouika, which lives in the deep sea, is specially exhibited.

The specially exhibited Daiouika was hung on a stationary net off the Tan Peninsula early in the morning of the 20th. The iced body is about 4.8 meters long and weighs about 140 kg.

It is the first time in five years that Daiouika has been exhibited at the Kyoto Aquarium, and it is twice as heavy as the previous one.

Visitors enjoyed the unusual appearance while taking a close look at the aquarium and taking pictures.

A woman from Kyoto city said, "I was surprised at the size because I only saw squid that I usually eat."

The woman who visited after seeing the information on Twitter of the aquarium said, "I was able to see the fresh and realistic appearance and it was worth coming."

Mr. Makoto Kawasaki, the head of the Kyoto Aquarium exhibition and breeding team, said, "I would be glad if you could be interested in having the unusual daiwaika look and feel directly.

The special display of Daiouika will be held in the free area at the entrance of the Kyoto Aquarium until the 22nd.
